Cabinets & More was founded by Oleg Melnichuk in 2016 as a one-man show. He began by doing part-time work for an insurance restoration firm while also working full time at a custom cabinet shop in Seattle, Washington. 

Oleg was born in Ukraine and moved to America in 1999, to the land of opportunity. He says that growing up in Ukraine, he didn't have LEGO, R/C cars, or other toys that many children do nowadays. All of his toys, including swings and cars, his family made themselves from wood and metal. 

After moving to the United States, Oleg finished his secondary education, went to college, and got a degree as a CNC programmer.  He started working as a CNC operator and programmer at a Seattle-based custom cabinet shop. From running only the CNC machine, Oleg worked his way to the top and started managing the production shop. He worked with multi-family homes that had over 300 units, residential homes, commercial offices in the center of Seattle, restaurants, and popular coffee shops where quality was a requirement. While working at the cabinet shop, he started doing side jobs and then left the company to work for himself.
